Trauma informed therapy for adults and couples

A PLACE TO NAVIGATE COMPLEX INNER TERRAIN WITH CARE

Sunlight beams breaking through dark, heavy clouds in the sky.

It’s time to understand yourself and your relationships more deeply.

Does this sound familiar?

You want to feel more successful and deeply connected with others, but instead you feel:

  • Composed on the outside, unsettled on the inside

  • Disconnected from your emotions and/or your body

  • An urge to put others’ needs before your own, worried that they will leave you if you don’t

  • Find yourself overthinking conversations and replaying interactions long after they end

  • Emotionally distant in relationships despite shared history and care

Maybe YOU’RE…

  • Our early (and even more recent) life experiences can put us in survival mode. Maybe “small” things lead to “big” reactions. You feel disconnected from your body and your feelings.

  • Maybe you feel like you have to walk on eggshells around others. You’re not sure if others will be able to meet your needs or not even sure of what your needs are.

  • Fights feel “familiar” but don’t lead to a productive resolution. You leave feeling alone or invalidated but want to feel closer and understood.

Life doesn’t have to stay this way

My name is Rachel.

I provide trauma-informed therapy for adults and couples using a collaborative, goal-orientated, and relationship-focused approach that helps make sense of patterns shaped by early experiences. My clients walk away from therapy with me feeling more grounded, more emotionally connected, and more confident in how they understand themselves and their relationships.

Individually, I can help you make sense of the impact of past experiences and feel more steady and grounded in the present. We’ll uncover blind-spots and find new ways of responding.  For couples, I’ll help you learn the tools you need to communicate more clearly, navigate conflict with less reactivity, and feel closer to one another again.

You’ve been working really hard already.

Maybe you’ve tried exercise, meditation, talking with chatgpt, or just “thinking positively” and they haven’t worked. These things are great, and can be helpful on their own, but they haven’t been enough for YOU. It’s NOT because you haven’t given it a shot.
